Chennai-based equestrian Samanna Everaa leads the city’s ride to success at ‘The World dressage challenge 2022 South Zone’


Chennai, November 2022: The World dressage challenge 2022 South zone took place in Bangalore at the ASC Centre.

Samanna Everaa from Chennai Equitation centre placed first with a record score of 73.225

This score is the highest in India making her the first place Gold winner of the World dressage challenge in the youth category (14y to 16y).

Following this on November 13th the grand championship was held at Bangalore embassy riding school.

The equestrian premier league happens for six months from June every month and the overall table points decide the Grand Championship for the year in November.

This year Samanna has been placing Gold all six months (June to November) in a row – 6 points carried for each gold, so with overall points of 36 Samanna becomes the winner of the Grand Championship on 13th November.

Samanna 15 years old is trained by Isabelle Hassleder who is an accomplished equestrian coach from Austria and trains at The Chennai Equitation centre at OMR. She studies at KC high Navalur and the school is of great support and encourages her to pursue her sport.

Samanna has a great coach, mentor and friend in Isabelle and this is a crucial combination along with her great horse Sechs Richtge, a German warm blood.

Samanna is a horse lover has a beautiful bond with Soul mate (his pet name)

She has worked consistently with a lot of discipline and is always keen on learning more from her coach.

Coming up next SHE’S looking forward to the Junior Nationals in Bhopal that she has qualified for and is looking to go further in her attempts in higher level competitions.
